Cross-platform app development with React Native and Flutter

Cross-platform development lets one team ship the same product to iOS and Android from a single codebase. Done well, the result is indistinguishable from native for most product categories, at a fraction of the maintenance cost of two separate apps.

We build with React Native (Expo where it fits) and Flutter. The choice depends on your team's existing skills, the UI requirements and the native modules the product needs. Both are mature; neither is right for everything.

Where the product touches the device deeply, we write native modules in Swift and Kotlin and keep the rest shared. You get one roadmap, one release cycle and one team.

What is included

Cross-platform app development, end to end

  • ■React Native with Expo or bare workflow, TypeScript throughout
  • ■Flutter with Dart, Riverpod or Bloc state management
  • ■Native modules in Swift and Kotlin where required
  • ■Shared design system and component library
  • ■Offline-first data, sync and background tasks
  • ■Payments and subscriptions across both stores
  • ■Over-the-air updates where appropriate
  • ■End-to-end tests, CI and simultaneous store releases

Who it is for

  • □Startups that need both stores at launch with one team
  • □Companies with web engineers who can extend a React Native codebase
  • □Products where feature velocity matters more than platform-specific polish

Process

How the work runs

  1. 01

    Discover

We define the product, its users and the business case, audit any existing code or designs, and agree the scope, platform strategy and success metrics for the first release.

  2. 02

    Design

User flows, wireframes and a high-fidelity prototype: clickable for apps, playable for games. We test it with real users before production starts, so the build begins from validated screens and a core loop that is already fun.

  3. 03

    Build

Native or cross-platform, decided in Discover. Two-week sprints, a TestFlight or Play build at the end of each, automated tests and a CI pipeline from the first week.

  4. 04

    Launch and grow

Store listing, screenshots, review submission and release. After launch we run analytics, A/B tests on onboarding and paywalls, and a roadmap for the next versions.

FAQ

Cross-platform app development questions

React Native or Flutter?

React Native if your team knows JavaScript or TypeScript, if you want to share code with a web app, or if you rely on the large ecosystem of native modules. Flutter if you want pixel-identical custom UI on both platforms and a single rendering engine. We recommend after Discover and explain why.

Is cross-platform slower than native?

For most consumer and business apps the difference is not perceptible. Heavy camera pipelines, games and some real-time graphics are the exceptions, and there we either go native or write native modules for the hot paths.

Can we start cross-platform and go native later?

Yes, and we design for it: shared business logic, a clear API layer and native modules where the device matters. Many products never need to migrate.

Do you use Expo?

Where it fits. Expo shortens setup, builds and updates for many products. When a project needs native code Expo does not support, we use the bare workflow or a config plugin.
